Before & After - An Oasis Transformation

Updated: Sep 28, 2020

With some creative vision and targeted planning, we were able to craft this Master Bathroom oasis for the happy homeowners to enjoy for years to come.

LEFT: A Before photo of the

built-in Roman tub, which was

difficult to get in and out of.

Note the dated columns and

upper honeycomb fabric

window treatments.

RIGHT: The original shower was

outdated in textured, framed

glass and featured a narrow

shower seat that was too high

to use and enjoy.

During the initial site visit, this Master Bathroom appeared surprisingly crowded and small in

spite of the overall dimensions. In addition to the heaviness of the tub deck, visual crowding was caused by the two original vanities set at different heights. The walk-in shower had issues of its own, seemingly cut in half with a jarring tile design and featuring a steam system rendered useless by the opening above the shower doors.

Our mission was to create a spa-like sanctuary,... a contemporary oasis for our Clients to enjoy.

The focal point of the room was created with replacing the Roman tub and columns with a free-standing pedestal tub. We planned for matching vanities with clean lines to open the room and made it appear wider.

"Demo Day" gives a thrill, hinting at the magic that is about to happen. Nothing is more fun than stripping an outdated, poorly designed room down to the studs in anticipation of the amazing process to come,...

LEFT: "Bye, bye" columns and boxed bathtub!

RIGHT: Ripping out the old tile and useless shower seat.

Demolition is always exciting as we clear out the Old and make

room for the New! During the Design Phase of the project, we selected the unique fixtures and finishes to complement each other and transform this bathroom into a truly one-of-a-kind space.

ABOVE: Decorative tile by Artistic Tile

ABOVE: Wallpaper by Thibault

ABOVE: Mixing metal finishes can be challenging, but it was just the touch

of glamour that we needed for the transformation into a spa-like oasis.

BELOW: The finished shower now delivers both style and function. Frameless

glass installed to the ceiling allows this to be used as a luxurious steam shower

with a comfortable corner seat. The addition of practical touches, such as a

handshower and shampoo niche, enhance the overall spa experience created by

the rainhead shower and body sprays. Multiple custom fixtures guarantee a

unique experience each and every time the shower is used.
